HPK’s Young at Heart
HPK’s Young at Heart or as we call her, Sam is a fiery little chocolate female that is in love with life. She tends to have a smile on her face all the time and lives her life with gusto!
Sam is not very large weighing in at just over 55 lbs., however from a hunting perspective she makes up for it in drive and desire. She is an absolute rocket in the bird field, with crisp movements and an very staunch point. She is truly a joy to hunt over.
Around the kennel, she has very nice manners and was easy to train and easy to keep around. She has a very nice off switch, and she would make an excellent family dog as well. Bottom line: This dog is talented in the field, and easy going in the house.
The only thing I would hesitate to use her for big water duck hunting, she is just a bit small for that task. If you hunt small water, you are all good. But if your an ocean hunter or a great lakes hunter I would pick a different dog.
